Acronyms
Today’s comic was inspired by this great email from Abby:
Yesterday while I was covering the “Nuk” lunch, a lady came up holding a copy of the latest Norah Roberts audiobook. She asked me, “Will these ‘compact disks’ work in my plain old CD player?” It took everything I had not to burst out laughing. I assured her several times that it would work just fine, and then she walked away saying she wasn’t sure if she believed me! I really need to stop coming out of the kid’s section.
With her not knowing what CD stands for, it got me thinking about what other acronyms she might not know. But, I think I understand her. TBH acronyms, IMO, can be troublesome. LOL.
