An Analogy
When we found out “Pat” was leaving the store we were elated, but we were also filled with a certain anxiety. What if they give us a terrible manager AGAIN? Or worse, what if Lark comes back?
While some of the stuff put into this comic is a mixture of truths and exaggerations, “Pat” was real as real can be and unbelievably depressing. I’ve had some people write to me to say how annoying Pat is in the strip and they were eagerly waiting for him to leave. Seeing how just the comic strip form of that man managed to get people riled up was a surprise. He was even worse in person.
I used “crap” in this comic a lot, didn’t I? I didn’t bother to count but I find it funny to over do it on analogies.
