A lot of what can make or break a cafe department is determined by additional sales, “up-sells.” Getting that extra 70 cents from a few customers can make all the difference in keeping cafe in the black.

A lot of businesses will help their sales out by having receipts print out a daily password for their wi-fi. I don’t know how well that would go over with The Bookstore customers at large, but I think it would cut down on a ton of moochers who just come into the store, grab a table in cafe and browse the internet until we close up for the day.

Another way to maybe boost sales is to have some sort of internet bandwidth throttle that’s controlled by the amount of purchases? The more we make the better their internet works?
