Fifty Shades of Grey
These are some of my favorite comics to draw. The comics that are inspired by conversations at work.
I watched the trailer to this “film” to see how close it paralleled the mighty Twilight, if not downright copied. The moody cipher of a male character warning the female protagonist to stay away? Check. Doughy eyed blandness as main character trait for female protagonist? Check. Female protagonist dressed all “frumpy” and boring to portray how ordinary she is? Check. Moody male character still somehow intrigued and attracted to boring female? Check. The only difference is the sadomasochistic naughtiness. I’m sure most of that is toned down though. So if you were in the market for Twilight where to characters have sex in the first film, here you go I guess.
