Finished Display
Merchandising a display, getting all the proper products all lined up in specific places can be extremely rewarding. You spent X amount of time doing it and the end result is satisfying. Then customers come in, get their filthy paws all over the merchandise, drop it off in dark unused corners of the store, and never buy anything. Your precious work left half full, stricken, sullied. It comes up every time there’s some e-planner sent down from Home Office now where I ask myself, is it worth the effort? Does it need to match the exactness of what they deem necessary for optimal sales, or can I shuffle everything up on the bay of shelves and call it a day?
