I understand sales goals, but every morning meeting where a manager is asking for goals seems more rote and perfunctory that I really see no point in tracking them. Setting a goal is supposed to inspire more effort and I’d say that trying inspire an employee takes more than asking for a number.
The employees are more than likely just going to find that magic number that pleases the powers-that-be rather than set some kind of real goal to reach for. Bare minimum is par for the course.
Also, I think the first two goals said in the comic are EVERY retail employee’s goals.
