It Has Returned
I thought I had seen the last of that stupid Thomas the Tank Engine play set. After a couple years of relative peace and quiet in the kids section, it has returned.
I do not welcome the return of mothers thinking that a table with toy trains is a suitable babysitter. “Sit down and play nice, Timmy. Mommy’s going to risk child abandonment and possible kidnapping so she can try on a pair of shoes at Ross that she just has to have at 50% off.”
I’ve seen joke signs and the like saying things along the lines of: Any child without a parent will be given a frappuccino and a puppy. Can we make that company policy? Please?
