The Holiday set up was so poorly organized this year. Not on the individual stores’ side, but on the distribution side of things. Everything was thrown at us all at once. We’ve had it spaced out over a couple of weeks in previous and it ran okay. Little hiccups from time to time, but fairly manageable.
This year was the worst I’ve seen in a long time. Whoever was in charge of the holiday set up dropped the ball big time. Maybe it was due to such an early set up this year? If so, I hope they’re all reading this. Hey, Logistics, Distribution, Home Office? Look at your calendar. Does the month say “December?” No? Then calm down. There’s still plenty of time to sell Christmas stuff. Just not right now. Halloween needs it’s time in the sun. Or what little sun we’re still getting this time of year.
