Nothing Left
In the normal retail world, the day after Christmas leaves the store pretty desolate. But if you act fast, and are blessed with an early delivery, you can restock in preparation for all those who have a gift card burning a hole in their respective currency container of preference.
With a closing store there’s not much left at all. The clearance is picked even cleaner somehow, all the titles people would’ve wanted were sold weeks ago and there’s no way of getting any more in. Coming in for work after Christmas felt very unnecessary. We had nothing left to give. Why didn’t we just start closing the store now?
