Oh So Progressive
I got an email a while back detailing awful, AWFUL stuff going on at the store they work at. One of the issues listed in the email was “A female NOOK manager who followed African American customers around her department, and told one gentleman that if he wasn’t going to buy one, he could ‘leave, because [she] can’t spend [her] entire shift following him around.'”
Yeah, I’m sort of surprised that blatant racism is still around in this day and age, but I also know that retail jobs can either find the best kind of people or the worst of the worst.
