Planning For The Future
Here’s Leah, answering a phone call that we’ve had way too many of lately. Textbooks are too low-print-run to carry in a commercial bookstore. They’re super expensive because of that low print run too. So the other side of us not carrying textbooks at The Bookstore runs thusly: expensive book, high theft, low sales. There isn’t much of a point to carry something that we’ll only sell one of every ten years.
A lot of the time we’ll get these calls in for textbooks on a Friday hoping to get them at their local bookstore for school on Monday. I’d like to think that the first lesson any of these students learn is PLAN AHEAD.
