Survivor Guilt
For those of us who have survived the cuts and removal of full time positions at The Bookstore, we are still dealing with it. That whole “Why not me?” thought has run through my mind along with “Thank goodness I got spared.” Which causes a lot of guilt. It would have been great for this whole situation to not have happened. Losing a job is awful. A lot of crap was happening behind the scenes and I don’t think we’ll ever know the full extent of what happened.
Had I been able to be in the position to make cuts, which is a seriously stressful place to be, I would have looked for any other possible outcome than what happened. But I am not in control of such responsibilities.
However, I am in control of a fun comic that I hope can brighten your day. Thank you all for reading my comics!
