If it isn’t one thing, it’s the other. We can either get all of the product in, usually all at once, with no special displays that can carry the items, or we get all the displays but no product to place inside them.

Maybe one day they’ll get that logistical puzzle solved.

I keep hearing that with the purchase of The Bookstore a lot of this centralized planning and company wide marketing/sales of the same books for every store may be done away with. That we’ll have more control on a local level for what to display, what to order extra copies of, and what to market towards. I hope that becomes the new way of operations. No store across the country needs to have anywhere near the amount of “It” on store shelves, even with the second part of the story hitting theaters soon. I’m looking forward to this prospective change and hope it’s for the better.
