So yeah, a color NÜK. At the Mandatory Holiday Meeting at my store, having been blessed with being located so close to NÜK headquarters, we had a head designer/Über geek give us a personal demo of the new e reader. Lots of “Oohs” and “Ahhs” from the collected booksellers. Yes it’s a neat piece of technology. Done. For those who want it, it’s an easy sell.
To get me from pure hatred to indifference about the brand is an accomplishment for them I guess. I’m probably the worst kind of guy to try and sell this stuff to. I still use “pencils” and “pens” to draw my comics. The Wacom tablet I purchased so many years ago has a nice layer of dust on it. (I’ll use it eventually!) I’m holding out hope that one day a drawing program will work just as intuitively as using a normal pen. That’d be nice…
