Conjunctivitis
People never buy the reading glasses. Never. I’ve seen the whole stock of reading glasses get returned only to see a new shipment of nearly identical pairs of reading glasses replace them. I usually find pairs of them lying with a pile of books next to a chair in the corner of the store.
Also: We’re a bookstore. I’m sure a bit of what’s set up is a “try before you buy” atmosphere what with chairs and benches, but you pay for books at a store. It’s not a library. …Maybe we should have a kid rub his infected eyes all over the books themselves? …Though that hasn’t stopped some people.
