I was that kid from grade school that would have your children come home in a crisis of belief about Santa. I will continue that tradition with my own children. I’d rather have my kids trust me and be grateful for what I provide than have them believe in an anthropomorphized personification of pure, unbridled greed and commercialism. Also, Birthday Elf on a Shelf? Really? And how is that a “birthday tradition” if this thing just came out last month?
