I find too many half finished cups of coffee left abandoned on our shelves in The Bookstore. There has to be some sort of mental goof that happens with customers and their drinks when they’re in a bookstore. Coffee nowadays isn’t cheap. People drop five to eight dollars on these things! You can’t just forget about that! But people do. CONSTANTLY.
There’s a thing that happens to people’s brains when they go into a bookstore. Regular, memory recall is gone, the smell of the shelves and books has to effect the brain in some form or fashion. While I don’t forget my drinks at work (I rarely buy drinks at the cafe), I do tend to forget SOMETHING when I clock out at the end of a shift.
Bookstores are MAGICAL.
