Having a customer or two walk up to the customer service desk and hand you trash is no big deal. It’s welcome even. When a customer walks halfway across the store to hand you their trash, it’s insulting. The public trash cans are pretty hard to miss, and to get to where I’m working you’d have to pass four different places wherewith you could have deposited your refuse is absolutely lazy, and incredibly frustrating.
