Lost In Thought
These Assassin’s Creed games are some of the most fun I’ve had playing a video game and the latest one in the series just came out yesterday, so, color me excited.
I never got into the Grand Theft Auto series or any other “sandbox” type game out there. No other game has come out that’s allowed me to run around ancient medieval cities jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Outside of the story the game takes you through I found myself just wandering the cities, climbing up towers, scaling the sides of churches, diving into big ol’ piles of hay. It immersed me better than anything set in modern times.
The games also feature music by one of my favorite composers, Jesper Kyd. This guy is fantastic. Dark, brooding, ambient. The work he did for the Hitman soundtracks are worth checking out.
