The worst part of closing the store was knowing that the company didn’t want to close. It would’ve been happy to just continue its day to day business at Westgate. The mall’s owner on the other hand wanted more money. Apparently a ton more money. I was told that the lease for Westgate was over 100 thousand a month. If this owner was making over 1.2 million a year from the bookstore alone, why raise the rent? How greedy can one get? Seeing what type of person owns that mall has dirtied my opinion of it. I refuse to shop there now. I don’t want that rotten scrooge to get any form of money from me ever again.
