Room For Cream
One of the complaints I hear from my cafe coworkers is that a lot of customers will insist on getting a full cup of coffee and then proceed to pour a huge portion of that coffee into the garbage and fill up their cup with cream themselves. Maybe they want to add their own perceived RIGHT amount of cream or sugar or whatever to their drink compared to what a cafe server would do, but couldn’t they just say, “Yeah, I’d like room for cream. Just pour the coffee this high in the cup?” Or maybe it’s a warped ideal of Getting Your Money’s Worth? But then Your Money’s Worth is getting tossed into the garbage… Maybe just buy a smaller coffee and ask to put it into a larger cup?
