After countless morning meetings and training videos, I still feel silly trying to bring up E-readers into conversations at work. There are those who can do it, those are pretty good at it (if hearing how many they sell per week is true), and there are those who try really hard but still kind of suck at it. I’ve seen that type of manager time and again. They’re the ones to keep your distance from. The eyes give them away. A weird sheen gets into them. Their lips part trying to smile, but all it becomes is a mask. And that mask knows no personal space or proper social timing. Someone buying a death & grieving book isn’t really interested in purchasing an e-book version. Or the guy buying a bag of seasonal coffee. You can’t get e-coffee. …yet?
