Security Tags
It’s been a while since I’ve heard a manager explain the proper placement of security stickers on audio products but I don’t think that experience will ever leave me. It was too bizarre.
Multiple managers explained that “the magnetic fields on the CDs are interfering with the security towers. So when you’re stickering a product make sure to place the sticker as far from the center as possible.” Some managers rolled their eyes while relaying this message while others were deadly serious. CDs are plastic as far as I can tell, and they’re read by a laser. No magnets.
After that information was passed on we of course began to ridicule the message and the messengers who thought the black magic magnets were messing with the psychic vibes that the demon in the CD was using to talk to the Grand Security Portal.
