Tested So Well
Each bookstore is different, unique, and should be catered to its local clientele. When big decisions come down the pipeline from the centralized entity know as Corporate, or The Home Office, a lot of what they’re telling us to do is met with skepticism or downright rebellion. The people that are sent out to check up on all these new display methods or category changes or how a shelver should be shelving books in a new way aren’t really seeing how things work. They see what we know they want to see and then we go back to the way it works better in our unique, specific store.
