Time Saving
The other half of the email that Jo sent me a little while ago described “a funny run-in with a customer I had about a month ago. They came up to the customer service desk and ask for Dinosaur books. I asked if they wanted kids books or paleontology. They said kids so I took them to the kids science section. Then they said ‘ok now I’m looking for the book called ‘Thesaurus.’ Can you help me look through this section?’ It took all my strength not to start cracking up and make them feel stupid.”
All of these thesaurus questions I’m sure we’ve come across before. That “theo-saurus” happened at my store. Can customers really be that ignorant or uninformed? Yes. The answer is always yes.
