Traumatizing Experiences
This past Christmas was crazy. I’ve worked for …Bookstore Place for over ten years, I’ve seen nine Christmas seasons, this past years Christmas Eve, unlike all the other years was absolutely insane. The day is usually busy, yes, but the customers slowly trickle to a crawl the closer it gets to the 6 PM closing time. Not so this time. Insanity to the end. Long lines. Constant phone calls (more than just asking when we close). Pushy customers. Gift wrapping. Paging to all sorts of places in the store. People knocking on the door after closing hoping to find just one more gift. Cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria.
